Emergency First Aid With CPR/B (EFA/B)

  • Acquire a general knowledge of first aid principles and the emergency treatment of injuries.

  • Skills include: victim assessment, recognition and treatment of injuries such as external bleeding, heart attack, stroke, and burns.

Emergency first aid and CPR-B WSIB recognized certificate

Standard First Aid with CPR/C (SFA/C)

  • Blended format: online and in-person

  • More comprehensive first-aid knowledge

  • Builds on Emergency First Aid content

  • In-depth training on bone and joint injuries, heat and cold injuries,chest injuries, and medical emergenciesAdult, child, and infant

  • CPR and chokingCertification valid for 3 years

Standard First Aid + CPR-C Recertification

  • Refresh and update first aid skills

  • Standard First Aid certification valid for 3 years (WSIB requirement)

  • Only recertify with original certifying agency

  • Recertify SFA once with a Recertification Course within 3 years of original course. Subsequent renewals require full SFA course

  • Alternate between recertification and full courses for ongoing renewal
